Breaking down barriers together

10.04.2025

Three years of European cooperation, many workshops and two practical handbooks: the Accessibility - Supporting Learners with Needs in a Digital World project ended in spring 2025 with an inspiring final event in Berlin.

From 2022 to 2025, seven organisations from Germany, Sweden, Greece and Cyprus developed new approaches to make vocational education and training more inclusive - with a focus on digital and social participation for young people with learning difficulties.

The result is a guide for trainers with methods and practical examples from four European countries as well as a method reader for teachers with concrete exercises for different learning settings.

More than 30 predominantly international guests - including experts and cooperation partners - attended the big closing event on 10 April 2025 at the Marzahn-Hellersdorf Information Centre. Presentations, workshops and open discussion formats invited participants to exchange ideas and get involved.

The project has shown: Inclusion needs an attitude and starts with an accessible learning environment and genuine appreciation.

Many thanks to the helping hands from SONNENECK who actively supported the event!

ALL THE MATERIALS DEVELOPED ARE AVAILABLE DIGITALLY FREE OF CHARGE.
